Reliability Shift Engineer - FMCG (March, Cambridgeshire)

Location: March, Cambridgeshire (commutable from: Peterborough, Wisbech, Huntingdon, Ely, Downham Market, Spalding, Chatteris, and surrounding areas.)

Are you a hands-on, proactive engineer with a passion for improving reliability and reducing downtime?

My client, a leading FMCG manufacturer with exciting long-term investment and expansion plans, is looking for a Reliability Shift Engineer to join their high-performing team. You'll be part of a business that values safety, supports development, and invests in its people.

You'll be working a Monday-Friday rotating shift pattern with the opportunity for regular overtime.

The salary is 44,500 - 46,500 plus overtime, alongside an excellent benefits package, including:

The Reliability Shift Engineer plays a key role in maintaining and improving site performance. You'll ensure equipment runs efficiently, help prevent recurring issues, and contribute to continuous improvement, as well as:

* Carrying out proactive maintenance to minimise downtime
* Performing Root Cause Analysis (RCA) to solve and prevent faults
* Identifying and implementing Continuous Improvement (CI) initiatives
* Taking part in reliability-based projects and team activities
* Supporting health & safety processes, including risk assessments

The ideal candidate is a multi-skilled engineer with a proactive mindset, always looking for ways to improve. You'll have a strong maintenance background, a relevant electrical qualification (NVQ, BTEC, Diploma, City & Guilds etc.), and the confidence to contribute to safety, reliability, and performance initiatives.
