Learning Support Assistant - Margate

We are currently recruiting for a Learning Support Assistant to join a specialist SEN school in Margate, supporting pupils with complex needs including a combination of ASC, SEMH, communication difficulties, and associated learning needs.

This is ideal for someone who is confident, patient, and passionate about supporting children who require a highly individualised and holistic approach to learning and care.



The Role; Learning Support Assistant

  • Providing 1:1 and small-group support for pupils with complex SEN

  • Supporting pupils with communication, sensory regulation, and emotional needs

  • Assisting with personal, social, and emotional development alongside academic learning

  • Implementing strategies from EHCPs, behaviour plans, and therapy-led approaches

  • Supporting pupils with routines, transitions, and structured learning environments



The Ideal Candidate

  • Experience working with complex SEN (SEN schools, alternative provisions, or care settings)

  • Understanding of ASC, SEMH, sensory needs, and developmental delays

  • Calm, resilient, and nurturing approach

  • Confident managing behaviours that may challenge

  • Strong teamwork and communication skills

** 90 - 100 per day, Mon-Fri, 08:30 to 15:30, PAYE, Term time only

** You MUST have right to work in the UK in order to apply - no Visa sponsorship
