Multi-Skilled Engineering Technician / Shift TechnicianLocation: Market Drayton – Butter PlantContract Type: Permanent, 4 on 4 off (Days & Nights, 7am–7pm)Salary: £54,000 per annum
Due to an exciting internal promotion into a Maintenance Excellence Manager role, we’re now looking for two Multi-Skilled Engineering Technicians to join our high-performing team at the Market Drayton Butter Plant. This is a fantastic opportunity for experienced Engineering Technicians or Shift Technicians to step into a role where they can make a real impact in a fast-paced, innovative manufacturing environment.

What we’re looking for in a Multi-Skilled Engineering Technician:
- Completion of a recognised engineering apprenticeship
- Proven experience as a Multi-Skilled Engineer, Engineering Technician, or Shift Technician in a fast-moving manufacturing or logistics setting
- Strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding skills (HNC level or equivalent)
- Familiarity with automation and CI tools is a plus
- Solid background in maintenance and reliability engineering
Key responsibilities of the Engineering Technician role:
- Deliver high-quality scheduled and reactive maintenance across the site
- Rapidly diagnose faults and restore equipment to service
- Identify root causes and implement cost-effective solutions
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and FMEA activities
- Work with electrical, pneumatic, and mechanical drawings
- Apply basic automation skills for fault finding and resolution
Please note: This is a Shift Technician role working a 4 on 4 off pattern, alternating between days and nights.
