Pertemps West Midlands and Shropshire driving division are recruiting for mulitiple HGV 1 Driver on a temp to perm basis for one of our prestigious clients based in Market Drayton, Telford.

The roles will entail and not limited to:

• Safely drive and operate multiple HGV vehicles comprising of, flatbed, walking floor, skip lorry and trailer, curtain sider & tipper.
• Ensure compliance with road safety regulations
• Use of PDA for vehicle checks/route planning/PODs
• Provide excellent customer service to customers
• Report vehicle defects
• Collaborate with team members for smooth operations
• Represent the company professionally at all time

 
To be considered for this HGV 1 Driver role you will need:

• Category C+E driving qualification (held for a minimum of 2 years)
• Experience operating above vehicles advantageous
• Good understanding and knowledge of current regulations with regards to EU driver hours, Working Time Directive and Driver’s Tachograph restrictions.
• Open to training on different vehicles.

 
In return, the HGV 1 Driver will receive:
 

• Pay rate - £16.50ph
• Monday to Friday and every other Saturday
• Start times Monday to Friday 05:00-06:00
• Saturday shift 07:00-13:00
• On going training
• Temp to perm (12 weeks)
• Accrued holiday pay.
• Access to pension (PAYE).
• Weekly pay/monthly pay to suit
• Onsite car parking.
