Your new companyHays Education is working with a specialist school in South Leicestershire who are looking for a new Teaching Assistant to start after May Half Term. The school provides an excellent education for pupils with a range of needs including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) and Social Emotional Mental Health Issues (SEMH). This is a temporary, term-time only job.This Ofsted rated 'Good' school in rural South Leicestershire provides an excellent education for pupils with ASD, ADHD and PMLD. This much-loved school has excellent facilities including a beautiful outdoor spaced and sensory rooms. You'll be joining a team of dedicated and highly-experienced practitioners who put the needs of their pupils first.Your new roleIn your new job as a Teaching Assistant, you'll work with a team of like-minded practitioners to support pupils with a range of additional needs. You will support pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups adapting your style to the needs of each child. You'll benefit from on-going support from your Hays consultant, Hollie, who will be there for you throughout this placement and beyond.What you'll need to succeedTo succeed in your new job, you'll have experience working with children with SEND. You may come from a background in social care or other related field and have a passion for supporting vulnerable young people. You'll be able to adapt to the needs of students across age groups with previous experience supporting children with communication and/or sensory needs.
