Our client, a leading multidisciplinary consultancy with an outstanding reputation across the UK, is looking for a Principal Electrical Engineer to join their growing Building Services team. This is a key position for an experienced professional who combines technical expertise with strong leadership and client facing skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design and delivery of MEP projects valued up to £20M across multiple sectors.Design and specify all electrical systems including distribution, lighting, small power, fire alarm, and security.
- Carry out technical calculations, reports, and reviews to ensure full compliance.
- Represent the company at client and design team meetings, maintaining excellent relationships.
- Mentor and guide junior engineers, ensuring quality and consistency across project outputs.
What They're Looking For
- Degree or HND in Electrical or Building Services Engineering.
- Chartered Engineer (CIBSE or IET), or working towards chartership.
- Extensive experience in building services design, ideally within a consultancy environment.
- Strong knowledge of British Standards, IET Wiring Regulations, and design software (Amtech, Relux).
- A confident communicator and leader with a proactive, solution-driven mindset.
