This key role involves leading a team responsible for progressing a wide range of complex residential mortgage applications, including bridging and development finance. You’ll ensure an exceptional customer journey, drive operational efficiency, and support the personal and professional development of your team.Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and inspire a team of mortgage case managers to deliver a high-quality, customer-focused service
  • Oversee the end-to-end management of residential mortgage applications, including complex and specialist cases
  • Ensure all cases are processed in line with policy, regulation, and service-level expectations
  • Collaborate with underwriters, brokers, and internal stakeholders to ensure smooth and timely case progression
  • Identify and implement process improvements that support operational excellence
  • Coach, mentor, and develop team members, encouraging continuous learning and performance growth
  • Monitor team performance against KPIs and support individuals in achieving targets
About You:
  • Strong experience in mortgage case management, ideally in residential or bridging and development finance but not essential. 
  • Demonstrated leadership and people management skills, with a collaborative and supportive approach
  • Excellent knowledge of the mortgage lifecycle, compliance standards, and FCA regulations
  • A customer-first mindset with the ability to manage relationships and resolve issues effectively
  • Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Confident using mortgage systems and Microsoft Office tools
