Astute's Renewables Team is exclusively partnering with Vida Bioenergy, a renewable energy provider in the Anaerobic Digestion sector with a commitment to professional development and sustainability, to recruit a Plant Manager for their new-build site located in Market Harborough.

Responsibilities and duties of the Plant Manager role

Reporting to the Plant Manager you will:

  • Provide strategic leadership to ensure the safe and effective operation of the Wormslade site
  • Lead all aspects of site management, ensuring high standards in operations and maintenance
  • Inspire, coach, and develop the site operations team to build a high-performing, accountable culture
  • Strategically manage holiday scheduling and plant coverage to maintain continuous operational excellence
  • Champion compliance with legal and regulatory standards, setting the tone for integrity and responsibility
  • Cultivate a culture of excellence, continuous improvement, and compliance across Wormslade and affiliated sites
  • Actively lead cross-site collaboration with UK and European peers to drive innovation and share best practices
  • Build and maintain strong, outcome-focused partnerships with key maintenance service providers
  • Lead the oversight of subcontractors, ensuring alignment with asset management goals and operational standards


Professional qualifications

We are looking for someone with the following:

  • Relevant HND/HNC/City & Guilds qualification in an engineering or agricultural discipline
  • Proven experience in an industrial related field, such as agriculture, engineering, wastewater or recycling
  • Experience of operating either agricultural equipment or plant
  • Have a good basic knowledge of AD/biogas/feedstock, or be willing to learn
  • WAMITAB
  • IOSH / NEBOSH
