Fabricator/Welder - 4-Day Week, Great Pay, Career Progression

Pay Rate: £15.00 £18.00 per hour, depending on experience
Hours: Monday to Thursday, 07:00 17:00
Overtime: Paid at 1.5x after 38 hours

This is a permanent, full-time opportunity with a growing business that builds high-spec transport solutions for key sectors such as defence, energy and highways. You'll be working on specialist projects not just repetitive production and your full-time week finishes on Thursday.

The Role: Fabricator/Welder
As a Fabricator/Welder, youll be responsible for fabricating and welding custom-built steel products. This includes full builds of heavy-duty trailers and structural assemblies, working to engineering drawings and producing work to a high standard.

Day-to-Day Duties:

  • MIG welding and fabrication of light, medium and heavy gauge steel
  • Interpreting technical engineering drawings accurately
  • Operating fabrication tools and equipment to complete full builds
  • Producing transport structures and trailers to client specifications
  • Ensuring safety standards and workshop procedures are followed


What We're Looking For:

We're after a confident and capable Fabricator Welder who enjoys varied work and takes pride in quality craftsmanship. You'll need to be hands-on, focused, and ready to get stuck in.

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • Previous experience as a Fabricator Welder, Structural Welder or Trailer Fabricator
  • Competent in MIG welding across a range of steel gauges
  • Able to read and interpret fabrication and engineering drawings
  • Skilled with standard workshop tools and welding sets
  • Good understanding of health and safety in a workshop environment
  • Able to meet or work towards coded welding standards
