MAIN PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

The main purpose of the role is to carry out all allocated line-based activities as directed by the Team Leaders and Shift Manager which will contribute to the overall team production output.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES HEALTH & SAFETY
  • Abide by the Company safety policies as contained in the Health & Safety Manual and related documentation.
  • Operate in a safe manner, minimising risk to self and others at all times
  • Ensure effective reporting and promotion of safety feedback via safety feedback forms
  • Ensure all accidents and incidents are reported to your line manager
  • Complete prestart safety check in a timely manner and report any safety concerns.
FOOD SAFETY CULTURE
  • Everyone Contributes – Believe the importance of making food safe and that everyone plays a part

FOOD SAFETY

  • Work diligently to ensure all aspects of the customer specification are adhered too.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Carry out production-based tasks as directed by the production Team Leader or Manager
  • Complete production paperwork as required for the tasks taken
  • Assist in the collection, measuring of information relating to cost, line performance, waste, production output etc
  • Carry out line cleaning tasks of equipment and surrounding work areas as necessary
  • Help to train and support other operators to become proficient in line operation
  • The Team Leader or Manager will carry out the final sign off, not the operator
  • Attend training courses as required to carry out production tasks efficiently, effectively and safely
  • Attend Tier 1 daily briefings as and when required.
  • Adhere to all Quality and Technical standards required for the area
