  • To conduct daily activities in a safe and quality conscious manner. 
  • To ensure that high standards of health, safety and housekeeping are consistently met.   
Main duties and responsibilities of the position are:
  • Unloading material from delivery trucks
  • Booking in bar stock into POO register
  • Marking bar stock with appropriate part numbers
  • Operation of saws (simultaneously)
  • Maintain records of blade usage/performance
  • Movement of material to other departments, including customer material
  • Assist in internal and customer audits and stock takes
  • Segregation and weighing of all swarf cuttings
  • To ensure that high standards of health, safety and housekeeping are met.
  • To undertake additional training within the work area in line with the company needs.
  • To undertake any other role within skill capability as specified by Management.
KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE
  • Strong mental arithmetic skills
  • Ability to multi-task and manage several different jobs at once
  • IT literate
  • Prior similar industry knowledge/production experience would be advantageous
  • Knowledge and application of safe working practices
  • Excellent vernal and written communication skills
