Farm Manager

With a focus on animal welfare, productivity, and innovation, we are seeking a skilled Livestock Farm Manager to lead our farm operations and ensure the highest standards in animal care and farm management.

The Role

As Livestock Farm Manager, you will oversee day-to-day farm operations, manage staff, and ensure optimal performance of our livestock enterprise. You will be responsible for maintaining animal health, productivity, and welfare, as well as ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage daily farm operations, including feeding, breeding, and health management of livestock.

• Supervise, train, and motivate farm staff.

• Develop and implement herd/flock management plans to maximise productivity and efficiency.

• Ensure compliance with animal welfare, biosecurity, and environmental regulations.

• Maintain accurate records of livestock, production, and farm activities.

• Monitor and manage farm budgets, resources, and equipment maintenance.

• Identify opportunities for process improvement, cost savings, and sustainability initiatives.

About You

• Proven experience managing livestock operations (dairy, beef, sheep, or poultry).

• Strong knowledge of animal husbandry, health, and welfare practices.

• Leadership and team management skills.

• Excellent problem-solving and organizational abilities.

• Familiarity with farm management software is a plus.
