Our client, a prominent player in the Defence & Security sector, is seeking an Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) Engineer for a contract role. This role focuses on a military GPS-related programme and requires extensive experience in electronic systems, reliability and maintainability analyses, and obsolescence analysis.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute reliability predictions, FMECA, Testability reports, and Reliability Centred Maintenance, collaborating closely with the technical design team.
- Define reliability testing programmes.
- Support meetings with customers and suppliers, including the preparation of documentation and presentations.
- Maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Report progress and escalate technical issues as required.
Job Requirements:
- Experience in ILS within the Defence sector.
- In-depth understanding of the system engineering lifecycle.
- Strong logical and problem-solving skills from first principles.
- Attention to detail with the ability to produce high-quality work and documents independently.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Good understanding of risk and configuration management.
- Ability to obtain Security Clearance and ITAR Clearance.
- Experience with EMC testing requirements.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Engineering degree in a relevant discipline.
- Significant experience in Systems/ILS Engineering, including recent experience in a lead role.
- Experience with RF electronic systems.
- Familiarity with MIL-HDBK-217F and MIL-HDBK-2165.
- Awareness of cost and schedule planning.
