Job Title: Care Assistant
Location:Glasson Ind Est, Maryport (CA15)
Reports To: Senior Care Assistant / Nurse in Charge / Home Manager
To provide high-quality, person-centred care and support to residents, promoting their independence, dignity, and wellbeing in accordance with individual care plans.
Key Responsibilities:Assist residents with personal care tasks, such as washing, dressing, toileting, and grooming.
Support residents with mobility and physical activities, including using mobility aids and transferring.
Help with meal preparation, serving, and assisting residents with eating and drinking as needed.
Monitor and record residents health and wellbeing, reporting any changes to the senior team.
Provide emotional support and companionship, encouraging social interaction and engagement in activities.
Maintain accurate records and documentation in line with care plans and home policies.
Follow health and safety, safeguarding, and infection control procedures at all times.
Work collaboratively with colleagues, families, and healthcare professionals to provide holistic care.
Uphold residents confidentiality, dignity, and respect at all times.
Previous care experience is desirable but not essential training will be provided.
A caring, patient, and compassionate nature.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and evenings.
An understanding of or willingness to learn about the needs of older people and those with dementia.
