The Opportunity

We are looking for a highly motivated Trainee Accountant to join our dedicated team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about accountancy and eager to develop their career in a supportive and structured environment. You will benefit from comprehensive in-house training and a full study support package as you work toward your professional qualifications.

Key ResponsibilitiesBookkeeping & Data Processing
  • Processing and reconciling bank statements, sales, purchases, and nominal ledgers.

  • Assisting in the preparation of VAT returns.

  • Maintaining accurate and current financial records for clients.

  • Responding to client queries related to bookkeeping.

Accounts Production
  • Supporting the preparation of statutory financial statements for sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies.

  • Assisting with year-end procedures alongside senior accountants.

  • Preparing working papers and supporting documentation.

Personal Tax
  • Assisting in the preparation of Self-Assessment tax returns.

  • Gaining insight into various income streams, expenses, and tax reliefs.

  • Organising and reviewing client tax data.

  • Understanding basic compliance for personal taxation.

Corporate Tax
  • Supporting the creation of corporation tax computations and returns.

  • Learning about corporate tax compliance requirements.

  • Conducting research into tax legislation and HMRC guidance.
