Are you a Workshop Engineer with CNC experience looking for a highly varied roe where every day will be a new challenge, creating bespoke, one-off parts on a range of new machinery, where you will be split between travelling to customer sites and workshop based?

In this role you will be travelling with a Fabricator to assess customer's needs, then head back to the workshop to relay the brief to the design team, and finally work alongside the Fabricator to machine and produce the needed components. You will be setting, operating, and programming both milling machines and lathes, working with aluminium and steel, producing one off parts.

Founded 20 years ago, this machining and fabrication company are specialists in their niche field, boasting a 'right first time' philosophy and continuous development for all their staff. They supply into the food processing and power industries, providing services for Blue Chip clients across the UK.

This role would suit a Workshop Engineer from a CNC background who can set, operate, and programme, looking for a challenging and varied role where every day is different.

The Role:

  • Using milling machines and lathes to create bespoke, one-off parts
  • Setting, operating, and programming from scratch
  • Split between workshop based (50%) and travelling to customer sites (50%)
  • Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 4:30pm, 37.5 hours a week
  • £17 - £21 an hour DOE, overtime available at 1.5x Saturday, 2x on Sunday

The Person:

  • Workshop Engineer or similar
  • Experience setting, operating, and programming CNC milling machines and lathes
  • Looking for a role split between workshop and field-based (50/50)
