Bright Selection is proud to partner with a leading care home specialist in the search for an experienced and passionate Commissioning Home Manager to lead the opening of a new, purpose-built residential care home, opening towards the end of this year in the Thulston area of Derby.

This state-of-the-art home has been thoughtfully designed to deliver high-quality, personalised care in a luxury setting which reflects our client's commitment to excellence and innovation in elderly care. This is an exciting new opportunity to shape the culture, care standards, and success of a flagship home from the very beginning.

As the Commissioning Home Manager, you'll play a pivotal role in launching the home, building a dedicated team, and establishing a strong foundation for exceptional care delivery. You'll be supported by a forward-thinking and experienced senior leadership team with a genuine passion for improving lives and creating warm, vibrant communities for older people.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead on recruitment, development, and day-to-day management of a high-performing care team
  • Establish and maintain exceptional standards of person-centred care, with a particular focus on dementia
  • Ensure full compliance with CQC requirements and internal quality frameworks
  • Build strong, trusting relationships with residents, families, and the wider community
  • Manage home budgets effectively while maintaining quality and service excellence
  • Promote a positive, inclusive culture that celebrates dignity, independence, and wellbeing

About You:

  • Experienced Home Manager with a proven track record in elderly and dementia care
  • Holds a relevant qualification (NVQ Level 5 or equivalent)
  • A confident and compassionate leader who inspires and motivates others
  • Deep understanding of regulatory frameworks and best practice in dementia care
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills, with a resident-first mindset

Salary:

  • Offered in the region of £65,000pa DOSE
  • Contract: 40hrs per week
  • 25 days holiday + 8 bank holidays
