Finance Business Partner

A Local Authority in East Midlands are looking to appoint a talented Finance Business Partner on an Interim basis. The Local Authority are working with Spencer Clarke Group to find a successful candidate.

What's on offer:

  • Rates: £350 - £500 per day, inside IR35.

*Negotiable based on experience

  • Hybrid Working - 2 days p/week in office
  • Contract type: Contract (37 hrs a week)
  • Hours: 09:00 -17:00

About the role:

Based in the East Midlands (hybrid):

The purpose of this role is to lead and manage a team of Finance Officers whilst providing financial advice and guidance for a range of services across the council supporting key financial processes.

Responsibilities:

  • To provide advice in the context of the Corporate Strategic Plan and Medium -Term Financial Plan, ensuring due diligence and accuracy of all financial analysis.
  • To ensure that relevant and effective budget management is in place, with regard to the services being supported.
  • To produce final accounts, budgets and financial forecast monitoring in line with approved timetables and reporting arrangements.

About you:You will have the following experience:

  • CCAB or CIMA qualification and membership
  • Comprehensive understanding of local and/or central government and how they work; financial policy, funding arrangements and accounting treatments within the local government sector.
  • Excellent leadership and management skills
