SF is currently exclusively recruiting for a part-time Finance Manager based in South Derbyshire on a permanent part time basis to join a friendly family run business. As the Finance Manager you will report to the Managing Director and be responsible for the full spectrum of the accounting function and general office requirements. & administration.
Responsibilities will include:
- Full responsibility for the finance function in a small but growing business.
- Oversee all financial operations from day-to-day accounting to senior-level reporting.
- Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reports for the MD
- Manage cash flow, forecasting, and budgeting.
- Oversee year-end accounts and liaise with external accountants/auditors.
- Handle accounts payable and receivable, including invoicing, credit control, and supplier payments.
- Bank reconciliations and journal postings.
- Payroll processing and pension submissions.
- VAT returns and compliance with HMRC regulations.
- Support strategic decision-making with financial insights and analysis.
- Comfortable working hands-on with clerical duties as well as senior finance tasks.
- General office administration & business support
Experience in a similar "all-rounder" finance role within an SME environment preferred. This role is best suited to a candidate who enjoys a varied position within a small team - Applications from qualified and QBE accountants will be welcomed.
