Our client, a rapidly scaling multi-site operator, is seeking a highly skilled Finance Director to build and lead a fit-for-purpose finance function. What you'll do:

As Finance Director, you will be instrumental in shaping the financial future of our client's rapidly expanding operation. You will take full ownership of the finance function, leading a small team focused on transactional activity. Your role will involve designing and implementing a robust financial controls framework suitable for a high-growth business. You will also play an active role in cash flow management, debt monitoring, and maintaining bank relationships. Supporting in evaluating and integrating acquisitions will be another key aspect of your role. Additionally, you will oversee timely reporting to stakeholders while working closely with the CEO to drive performance.

  • Take full ownership of the finance function, currently made up of a small team focused on transactional activity.
  • Design and implement a proper financial controls framework from the ground up.
  • Play a hands-on role in cash flow management, debt monitoring, and bank relationships.
  • Support in evaluating and integrating acquisitions.
  • Clean up fragmented and manual financial processes, transitioning toward automation and systemisation.
  • Oversee timely, accurate reporting to both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Work closely with the CEO and external accounting partners to understand and drive performance at site and group level.

What you bring:

  • Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) with strong post-qualification experience.
  • Proven track record of working in unstructured, fast-paced environments.
  • Experience in multi-site, high-growth or acquisitive businesses.
  • Confident managing cash in a leveraged or bank-financed environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to build controls and financial structure from scratch.
