Due to continued expansion, we're recruiting an experiencedMaintenance Fitter to join our well established client.

The Role:

• Reporting to the Maintenance Coordinator, you will form part of the maintenance team who will perform preventative maintenance, installation work, breakdown repairs and general maintenance on a variety of plant and equipment types.

Responsibilities:

• Perform a Task Specific Risk Assessment for each task and follow relevant SOPs; any deviations must be approved by the Maintenance Team Leader.
• Report significant issues during or after a task and be available for redeployment.
• Follow company rules and permits; ensure equipment is isolated and safe before work begins.
• Complete tasks with the area left clean, safe, and all guards refitted.
• Correctly book out parts from stores and attribute cost codes.
• Report plant issues affecting safety or reliability.
• Wear appropriate PPE at all times and ensure lifting equipment is in good condition.
• Maintain housekeeping in the workshop and maintenance areas.
• Operate equipment and company vehicles safely.
• Safeguard personal and company tools; return all tools to proper storage and report any damage.
• Ensure all work complies with Health & Safety, Quality, Environmental, and Energy policies.

Requirements:

• Experience working in heavy manufacturing industry.
• Apprenticeship trained in Mechanical Engineering.
• Safety culture awareness.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Reliability and good timekeeping.
• Ability to work as part of a team.

Working hours: Monday to Friday 7am - 3:30pm.

Starting Salary: 41,065 Per Annum.

This is a Full time, Permanent position.
