Our client in near Matlock are on the lookout for a mechanical engineer. The role is working shifts consisting of 12 hour days and nights. (44 hours per week on adv)
The Person
- An apprentice trained maintenance engineer with experience of working in a medium to heavy engineering environment.
- NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in mechanical engineering
- Willingness to work overtime and differing shifts pattern
- Able to read mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic engineering drawings
- Basic fabrication experience
- Good problem-solving and organisation skills
- Worked in a medium to heavy engineering/manufacturing environment.
The role
- Carrying out preventative and reactive maintenance duties on a variety of machinery and equipment.
- Continual improvement
- Ensure all PPM tasks are completed on time and to the required standards.
- Identify true cause of failures and report corrective action necessary.
- Ensure all departmental documentation is completed on time and to company standards.
- Develop the PPM system
