Teacher of Computer Science - Derby - September 2025 Start

Tradewind Recruitment is delighted to be working with a forward-thinking Secondary School just north of Derby City Centre to recruit a passionate and dedicated Teacher of Computer Science for a full-time position starting in September 2025. This is an excellent opportunity to teach Computer Science across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5 in a supportive and innovative school environment.

Please note: QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) is essential for this position.

As a Computer Science Teacher, your responsibilities will include:

  • Planning and delivering dynamic and engaging Computer Science lessons across KS3, KS4, and KS5

  • Using creative teaching strategies to foster a deep understanding of computational thinking, programming, and digital literacy

  • Assessing and tracking student progress in line with the school's policies

  • Contributing to departmental planning, curriculum development, and the wider school community

  • Maintaining a well-managed, inclusive, and positive classroom environment

The successful candidate will be an enthusiastic and skilled Computer Science educator, with a strong subject knowledge and a commitment to student success. You must hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) to be considered for this role.
