We have an exciting opportunity for a children's social worker to join a Child Protection Team in Derbyshire.
As a children's social worker with at least two years post qualifying experience you will undertake core assessments, implement Child in Need Plans, Child Protection Plans and initiate care proceedings.
Joining a friendly and supportive team, you will use your experience to work towards the joint goal of encouraging positive outcomes for vulnerable children and their families whilst encouraging effective multi-agency work to maintain high standards of social work practice.
You will manage complex child protection caseloads, including managing the risk on a caseload of children and families through assessments and meetings. This position will involve undertaking court work, and implementing Child Protection plans. You will also be required to conduct initial and core assessments. You will also work collaboratively with other agencies and professionals to deliver better outcomes and contribute to practice development.
With your recognised professional Social Work qualification and SWE registration, you will use your experience to make a significant contribution to the team.
