Early Years Practitioner / Nursery Assistant - SN12 6YH

As an Early Years Practitioner, you’ll help lay the foundation for lifelong learning and wellbeing, one little smile and milestone at a time. This role is looking to start ASAP and is available on a permanent, full-time contract.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Creating a safe, stimulating space where young children can explore and grow.
  • Acting as a key person, forming trusted relationships with families and supporting individual children’s needs.
  • Supporting the planning and delivery of activities in line with the EYFS framework.
  • Maintaining high standards of safeguarding, confidentiality, and cleanliness.
  • Assisting with daily routines, from setting up the room to garden safety and maintenance.
  • Promoting positive behaviour, communication, and social skills.

About You

  • Be able to do the job as described.
  • Able to carry out light garden maintenance (e.g., removing weeds, sweeping grass).
  • Comfortable with intimate care duties and maintaining hygiene standards.
  • Confident acting as a key worker with clear parent communication.
  • Enthusiastic and proactive in team meetings and ongoing development.
