Summary:

We are delighted to be working on behalf of a specialist manufacturer in the search for a Canteen Supervisor.

The primary purpose of this role is to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the canteen, maintaining a high standard of food service at all times.

Reporting to the Office Manager, the role is key to upholding excellent hygiene practices and ensuring full compliance with environmental health and food safety standards.

Key responsibilities:

  • Planning of Menus: Work with the Office Manager to create a rotating 4-week menu that reflects seasonal ingredients and offers variety.
  • Open and Close Procedures: Ensure the canteen is fully prepared for service each morning and securely closed at the end of the day.
  • Daily Kitchen Supervision: Oversee day-to-day kitchen operations to ensure efficiency and a smooth service.
  • Cash Handling: Accurately manage all cash transactions in line with company procedures.
  • End of Day Reports: Complete and submit daily reports covering sales and stock levels.
  • Food Ordering: Coordinate with the Office Manager to maintain appropriate stock levels and place food orders as needed.
  • Food Preparation: Prepare meals in accordance with the set menu, maintaining high standards of quality and food safety.
  • Kitchen Hygiene Standards: Ensure all kitchen areas meet hygiene and cleanliness standards in line with health regulations.
  • Food Service Counter Sales: Serve customers at the counter in a friendly, professional manner, ensuring a positive experience.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Minimum of 3 years experience catering
  • Positive attitude and strong work ethic.
  • Food Safety Certification: SERV (Safe Food Handler Certification
