Design Allocator

Position: Experienced
Experience: Minimum 3+ years in Passive Fire Protection

Role Overview:
The Solution Allocator is responsible for reviewing, verifying, and documenting standard passive fire protection solution allocations while ensuring full compliance with ASFP and manufacturer guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct the Stage 1 Peer Review of passive fire protection allocations, ensuring compliance with PFPF, ASFP and manufactures requirements.
  • Review, validate, and approve all standard passive fire protection allocations from Trainee Solution Allocators.
  • Ensure technical accuracy of allocated solutions in compliance with ASFP guidance, manufacturer specifications, and project fire strategies.
  • Collaborate with manufacturers to confirm the validity of assigned solutions and approve minor modifications to standard details where required.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of design allocations and compliance records in the Design Tracker.
  • Escalate non-standard cases requiring an Engineering Judgement (EJ) or Technical Assessment (TA) to the Senior Solution Developer.
  • Undertake annual manufacturer training to remain at the forefront of passive fire protection technology.
  • Undertake BIM and CAD familiarisation training for enhanced model-based solution allocation.
