Finance Manager – Melton MowbraySalary: Up to £40,000 + benefitsWorking Pattern: Full-time | Office-based for the first 3 months, then hybrid (3 days on-site per week from month 4 onwards)
Distinct is delighted to be supporting a long-established business in Melton Mowbray with the recruitment of a Finance Manager to join their small, close-knit team.
This role would suit someone AAT-qualified (or currently studying), potentially working towards CIMA or ACCA. You’ll need a solid grounding in accounting, good attention to detail, and experience using Sage 50 or 200.
You’ll be working closely with the Financial Controller to manage the day-to-day operations of the finance function, covering everything from transactional processing through to month-end accounts and systems improvements.
Key responsibilities include:

Overseeing and supporting the Assistant Accountant

Managing invoice processing

Assisting with month-end accounts, budgeting and forecasting

Supporting payroll processes
-
Liaising with suppliers and customers

Assisting with VAT returns
-
Working with the service team to manage and reconcile stock

Contributing to the upgrade from Sage 50 and future migration to Sage 200
