Job Title: Brickwork Lecturer

We are seeking a dedicated Brickwork Lecturer. This role involves supporting learners through their educational programmes, particularly focusing on brickwork qualifications. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and delivering comprehensive schemes of work, managing assessments, and ensuring all programme requirements are met efficiently and effectively.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Support learners throughout their programme, focusing on specific qualification aims.
  • Develop and write detailed schemes of work, lesson plans, and review plans.
  • Create and implement individual learning and assessment plans for each learner.
  • Produce and manage educational materials tailored to learner needs.
  • Conduct formal assessments and maintain all related records.
  • Deliver education and training flexibly to meet diverse learner needs.
  • Ensure timely completion of learner portfolios, coursework, and other programme-related outputs.
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to effectively deliver the programme.
  • Conduct work-based delivery aspects of the programme, including employer liaison and integration of functional skills.
  • Undertake tutorial and pastoral roles, providing support and guidance to learners.
  • Maintain confidentiality regarding learner and workplace information.
  • Manage learner disciplinary and reward processes.
  • Maintain a management tracking system for learners in line with College guidelines.
  • Ensure compliance with internal and external quality assurance standards, including external and internal verification processes.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in brickwork or a related field, with a strong practical and theoretical background.
  • Qualified to at least Level 3 in a relevant subject area.
  • Experience in educational delivery and assessment, with a capability to manage diverse learning needs.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to develop and implement effective learning materials and assessments.
  • Familiarity with quality assurance processes and standards in education.
  • Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and managing sensitive information.
