We are seeking a skilled Painter & Decorator to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a keen eye for detail and a passion for transforming spaces through colour and design. This role requires proficiency in various painting techniques and the ability to communicate effectively with clients to understand their vision. As a Painter & Decorator, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the aesthetic appeal of residential and commercial properties.

Duties

  • Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and filling holes or imperfections.
  • Apply paint, varnish, or other finishes using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment.
  • Select appropriate materials and colours based on client preferences and project requirements.
  • Ensure all work is completed to a high standard, adhering to health and safety regulations.
  • Communicate with clients throughout the project to ensure satisfaction with progress and outcomes.
  • Maintain tools and equipment in good working order, ensuring they are cleaned and stored appropriately after use.
  • Assist in the planning of projects, including estimating timeframes and material requirements.

Skills

  • Proficient in various painting techniques and applications.
  • Strong communication skills in English to effectively liaise with clients and team members.
  • Ability to drive is preferred for travelling to different job sites.
  • Attention to detail with a strong sense of aesthetics in colour selection and design.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating reliability and professionalism.
