This is a fantastic opportunity to join a specialist contractor delivering LV distribution, small power, lighting, containment, and EV charging infrastructure across South Wales and the UK. In this role, you will take ownership of the LV estimating function producing accurate, timely, and commercially astute tenders that secure the right projects at the right margin. You will review drawings and specifications, complete detailed take-offs, liaise with suppliers and subcontractors, and prepare winning bids. You'll also support project handovers and variations, while developing benchmarks and improving pipeline discipline.
This role offers hybrid flexibility from the Merthyr HQ, along with site surveys across South Wales/M4 corridor. You'll join a supportive and growing team, with opportunities to progress into Senior Estimator/Pre-Construction Lead as the business expands.
The Role:
- Produce accurate tenders for LV distribution, lighting, containment, small power, and EV charging infrastructure.
- Scope review, quantity take-off, build-ups, supplier pricing, and bid production.
- Support handovers, variations, and Value Engineering options for projects.
- Ensure proposals meet BS 7671 and IET EV Charging Code of Practice standards.
- Hybrid role: office/home-based with travel for surveys.
The Person:
- Estimating experience (industrial/commercial).
- Knowledge of BS 7671 and LV installation methods.
- EV pricing experience (AC/DC chargers, feeder pillars, civils interfaces) or desire to develop.
