- Manage and take full ownership of a portfolio of clients, ensuring timely and efficient service delivery
- Prepare and review complex financial statements for corporate clients
- Compile and assess interim management accounts for accuracy and insight
- Prepare and review personal tax returns, ensuring compliance with current legislation
- Prepare and review partnership accounts and associated tax returns
- Oversee and submit quarterly VAT returns in line with statutory requirements
- Support in the development of financial forecasts and business projections (desirable but not essential)
- Participate in client meetings and liaise directly with company directors and business owners
- Provide training, guidance, and task delegation to junior team members
- ACA or ACCA qualified with a strong background in practice (Newly Qualified) as an experienced Accounts Senior, Assistant Manager, looking to progress their career further.
- Demonstrated ability to independently manage workloads while supporting the development of team members
- Proficient in Office 365 and capable of using in-house systems and developing spreadsheets as required; experience with accounting software such as Sage, Xero, or QuickBooks is highly advantageous
- Strong working knowledge of accounts preparation software, preferably IRIS
- Proven track record of managing a diverse client portfolio, with experience in accounts, tax, and advisory services, including a focus on business development
- Highly organised, proactive, and self-motivated with a strong attention to detail
- Salary of £38,000pa - £43,000pa
- 37.5 hours per week but flexible working
