Role Purpose

  • Ensure a clean, safe, and hygienic environment for students, staff, and visitors.
  • Support the overall health and well-being of the community through high standards of cleanliness.
  • Contribute to a positive learning environment by maintaining cleanliness in all assigned areas.

Key Responsibilities

  • Clean classrooms, offices, corridors, toilets, and communal areas to a high standard.
  • Carry out daily cleaning tasks, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and emptying bins.
  • Replenish supplies such as soap, toilet paper, and paper towels.
  • Report any maintenance or health and safety concerns to the appropriate staff.
  • Use cleaning equipment and materials safely and appropriately, following health and safety guidelines.
  • Ensure that all cleaning duties are carried out in line with the institution's policies and procedures.
  • Lock and unlock designated areas as required.

Requirements

  • Previous cleaning experience
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • Understanding of health and safety and COSHH regulations (training can be provided).
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to high standards of cleanliness.
  • Trustworthy, reliable, and able to maintain confidentiality.
  • Right to work in the UK.
