  • This vital role supports patient care and safety by ensuring high standards of cleanliness across infection control areas of the hospital.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine and specialist cleaning duties in designated infection control areas
  • Use appropriate cleaning materials and equipment safely and effectively
  • Work safely at height using step ladders, following health and safety guidelines
  • Maintain strict hygiene protocols to prevent cross-contamination
  • Accurately complete cleaning checklists and records

The successful candidate will:

  • Be able to work confidently and safely in infection control environments
  • Be physically able to perform cleaning duties, including using step ladders
  • Follow strict hygiene and infection prevention guidelines
  • Work effectively both independently and as part of a team
  • Demonstrate attention to detail and a commitment to cleanliness and safety

Requirements:

  • Previous cleaning experience is highly desirable – full training will be provided
  • Must be able to work in infection-controlled settings and use step ladders as part of the role
