Are you a detail-oriented Quality Engineer with a passion for manufacturing excellence? We are seeking an experienced and proactive Quality Engineer to join a fantastic business based in Rotherham, ensuring high standards across products, processes, and supplier performance.

Reporting into the Quality Manager, you will lead investigations into production and supplier non-conformities, drive continuous improvement initiatives, and support internal and external stakeholders to deliver best-in-class products.Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the management and resolution of production and component-related non-conformities.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and implement effective corrective actions.
  • Coordinate the quality team’s daily activities and priorities.
  • Escalate issues to suppliers and support their development through audits and performance reviews.
  • Chair weekly reviews of quality trends, define actions for improvement, and track progress.
  • Define and implement inspection and sampling plans.
  • Supervise and support the development of Quality Inspectors.
  • Contribute to new product development by ensuring quality and risk requirements are met.
  • Support internal audits and maintain compliance with ISO 9001 and related standards.
  • Analyse quality metrics and lead continuous improvement projects.
  • Be a champion of quality culture and best practices across the organisation.
I'm keen to speak to candidates with the following skillset:
  • Prior experience in a quality engineering role, preferably in manufacturing.
  • Strong knowledge of ISO 9001 and quality assurance methodologies.
  • Skilled in root cause analysis, data analysis, and reporting.
  • Competent with Microsoft Office and ERP systems.
  • Lead Auditor qualification (ISO 9001/14001/45001).
  • Six Sigma Green Belt certification.
  • CQI practitioner membership.
