Elevation Accountancy and Finance is seeking a Payroll Officer for a 6-month Fixed Term Contract in Rotherham.
The role involves processing weekly payrolls, ensuring compliance with statutory legislation, and managing employee queries.
Candidates should possess a payroll qualification or relevant experience, along with good interpersonal and communication skills.

Applicants are expected to have a minimum of 2 years of experience in payroll processing.

Elevation Accountancy and Finance are delighted to be working with a fantastic business in Rotherham as they look to recruit a Payroll Officer into their team on a 6 month Fixed Term Contract. Responsibilities:

Responsible for accurate processing of various weekly payrolls
Ensuring processing deadlines are met centrally and regionally
Checking exception reports and amending any errors
Calculating overpayments
Processing EYU’s
SSP, SPP, SMP payments
Amending pay rates, tax codes, bank details etc
Dealing with queries from employees
Completing enquiry forms from third parties
Ensure compliance with statutory legislation
Month end reporting and payments for various weekly payrolls
Auto enrolment processes
RTI reporting to HMRC
Manual payments to employees where required
Year End Processes

Person Specification:

Payroll qualification or relevant experience
Accuracy and numerate
IT literate
Good interpersonal and communication skills
