Are you a dedicated and compassionate teacher with a passion for supporting pupils with special educational needs? Reed Education is pleased to be working with a respected secondary school in Rotherham to appoint an experienced SEN Teacher for a temporary position starting in September 2025.

The Role

As an SEN Teacher, you will be responsible for planning and delivering personalised lessons to students with a range of additional needs, ensuring they are supported both academically and emotionally. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Creating and implementing individual education plans (IEPs)
  • Delivering differentiated lessons tailored to specific learning needs
  • Collaborating with teaching assistants, SENCOs, and external professionals
  • Promoting inclusion and fostering a nurturing classroom environment
  • Monitoring pupil progress and adapting strategies to support development
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Experience working with secondary-aged pupils with SEN
  • Strong understanding of inclusive teaching practices and SEN strategies
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil welfare
