My Client is seeking a Surveyor to join their dynamic Estates Team, dedicated to developing our Commercial Property Portfolio and maximizing the capital and income generation opportunities of Council assets. This role is ideal for candidates who are RICS qualified and experienced in handling a range of property/surveying activities including rent reviews, lease renewals, property management, and the acquisition and disposal of property.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Provide valuation, estates management, and surveying advice.
  • Support projects involving the acquisition and disposal of land and property.
  • Assist in statutory valuations (subject to approval).
  • Produce reports and provide advice to Council representatives.
  • Handle enquiries related to valuation, estate management, and surveying.
  • Support the Estates Manager and Principal Estates Surveyor.
  • Contribute to land and premises reviews to support Council priorities.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Education: NQF Level 6 qualification (e.g. Bachelor’s Degree) or NQF Level 5 qualification (e.g., HND) with relevant work experience.
  • Demonstrated experience in a similar role, with RICS qualification.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to manage projects and budgets.
  • Proficiency in using computer applications (e.g., word processing, spreadsheets).
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
