Are you an experienced Engineering Assessor with a background in Mechatronics? We're working with a reputable and forward-thinking College who are looking to appoint a Skilled Apprenticeship Tutor to support the next generation of engineering talent.

This is a full-time, permanent opportunity ideal for someone passionate about delivering high-quality workplace training, assessment, and coaching to engineering apprentices on Mechatronics pathways.

Role Responsibilities:
  • Deliver engaging, on-site and remote assessment sessions to apprentices in Mechatronics Engineering

  • Monitor learner progress and provide constructive feedback to support timely achievement

  • Conduct workplace visits and reviews in line with curriculum and awarding body standards

  • Plan and deliver skills-based coaching aligned with apprenticeship standards

  • Complete assessment records and maintain accurate documentation

Requirements:
  • A recognised Assessor qualification (TAQA, CAVA, A1 or equivalent) - Essential

  • Recent experience assessing in an engineering/mechatronics environment - Essential

  • Relevant Level 3 or above qualification in Engineering or Mechatronics

  • Strong industry knowledge with the ability to coach and support apprentices in the workplace

  • Excellent communication and organisational skills

  • A teaching qualification (desirable but not essential)
