Reed Accountancy are recruiting for a full-time, permanent Finance Officer to join an established team and play a key role in managing the day-to-day financial operations of a well-established and growing business.As Finance Officer, you’ll be responsible for delivering accurate and timely financial information to support strategic decision-making. You’ll oversee all core finance functions, from ledger management and payroll to reporting and compliance.Key Responsibilities:

Manage daily financial operations including sales and purchase ledgers, bank reconciliations, and credit control.

Prepare monthly management accounts, budget vs actual reports, and year-end trial balances.

Handle payroll processing, pension contributions, and statutory payments (PAYE, NI, RTI).

Ensure compliance with VAT, tax regulations, and auto-enrolment requirements.

Produce high-quality financial reports for internal stakeholders.

Liaise with external accountants for year-end accounts and tax submissions.

Maintain accurate records of fixed assets, stock, and petty cash.

Support continuous improvement of financial systems and processes.
What We’re Looking For:

Proven experience in a similar finance or accounting role.

Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.

Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.

Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.

Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
-
AAT qualified or working towards a relevant finance qualification (desirable).
