Duties:

In this role, you will manage a caseload of learners undertaking training, supporting them throughout their learning journey. You will play a key role in designing and delivering learning programmes and assessments, ensuring participants successfully achieve their qualifications, including full Apprenticeship standards. Close collaboration with employers will be essential, as you guide learners towards achieving their educational goals, inspire them to overcome challenges, and contribute to our dynamic academic community.

  • Plan, conduct and participate in induction and initial assessment of learners to identify realistic learning priorities and, in liaison with the employer, develop individual learning plans and agree realistic completion targets. This will include ensuring that employers have a full understanding of the requirement for Apprentices to complete off the job training.
  • Develop, manage and maintain good relationships with external partners, local employers and appropriate agencies to recruit learners.
  • Provide information, advice and guidance to learners and employers to promote learning and timely achievement of the agreed learning aims and SMART objectives.
  • Maintain a minimum caseload of learners. Assist them to achieve NVQ qualifications and the Apprenticeship Standard and prepare them for End Point Assessment.
  • Develop business with existing employers and identifying new opportunities.


Requirements:

  • Are a qualified Plumber - Essential
  • Hold English and Maths GCSE grade4/C or above or equivalent - Essential
  • Possess a TAQA or A1 assessor qualification, or willing to work towards - Desirable
  • Hold a Teaching qualification, or willing to work towards - Desirable
  • Have an Award in Internal Verification or V1, or willing to work towards - Desirable
