Temporary Customer Support Assistant

Location: Middlesbrough (Office-based)
Contract: 3-month temporary assignment
Pay Rate: 12.21 per hour

We are looking for a proactive and organised Customer Support Assistant to join the team on a temporary basis. This role is ideal for someone with strong communication skills who enjoys providing excellent customer service and supporting the smooth running of day-to-day office operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Reception & Call Handling: Answer incoming calls, manage the switchboard and direct callers to the appropriate teams efficiently and professionally.
  • Email Support: Monitor shared inboxes, allocate emails to the correct queues, and forward messages to relevant departments.
  • Administrative Tasks: Assist with light administrative duties including scanning documents and distributing incoming post.
  • General Customer Support: Provide helpful and friendly support to customers and internal teams as needed.

What We're Looking For

  • Previous experience in a customer service, reception or administrative role (desired but not essential).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Good organisational abilities and attention to detail.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, office-based environment.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise effectively.
