Responsibilities and duties of the Assistant Operator role

Reporting to the Team Leader you will:

  • Work as part of a small, professional team in a hands-on capacity.
  • Provide manual support to ensure operational tasks are achieved on time and to specification.
  • Follow work instructions, risk assessments, and operational procedures to deliver safe and effective services.
  • Handle equipment and tools responsibly, including receipt, storage, and transportation.
  • Maintain health & safety standards on-site and actively report potential hazards.
  • Carry out routine equipment maintenance and assist with yard duties when required.
  • Participate in health & safety meetings, training sessions, and regular 1-to-1 reviews.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement by sharing learning and feedback with your team.

  • Previous experience in a physically demanding, manual role (advantageous but not essential).
