Are you an experienced Environmental, Health & Safety Advisor who has worked in manufacturing / distribution environments - ideally food?

This permanent, full time role is based in Middlesbrough working Monday to Friday day shift (no weekends or evenings!)

Salary £40-45,000 plus excellent benefits including generous holiday allowance, healthcare services, pension, free gym membership and other staff discounts.

So what's the role?

  • Help to reduce risks and hazards across the site
  • Ensure compliance with ISO 45001 and other BS audit standards
  • Conduct site inspections and internal audits
  • Provide advice to line managers and deliver H&S training
  • Oversee site contractors including work permits, method statements / RAMS
  • Incident investigations and unsafe practices, set out recommendations for improvement
  • RIDDOR / HSE reporting and other management reporting / analysis e.g. statistics and trends

What do I need?

  • Relevant qualifications in Health, Safety and Environmental subjects e.g. NEBOSH, IOSH, IEMA, etc.
  • Experience conducting internal audits and managing to ISO standards e.g. 45001, 14001, 9001, etc.
  • Previous experience doing a similar role in a similar environment e.g. manufacturing, engineering, logistics, warehousing, etc.
