This institution supports students with a range of learning difficulties, including Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD), Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD), and Complex Learning Disabilities. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining a safe, secure, and welcoming environment for both students and staff.Key Responsibilities:

  • Opening and securing the school premises daily
  • Conducting regular health and safety checks and routine maintenance
  • Performing general porterage duties and supporting hydrotherapy pool maintenance
  • Coordinating with contractors and cleaning staff
  • Managing access for school transport and ensuring site security
  • Assisting the Site Manager in ensuring the smooth operation of the school’s facilities

Ideal Candidate:

  • Previous experience in a school environment or a strong background in maintenance
  • Experience in a trade or building maintenance role
  • Professional, friendly, and enthusiastic demeanor
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
  • Has an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) - assistance provided if needed
