They are a global leader in Rolling Stock vehicle manufacturing, service and maintenance.

Position Summary:
This role is to help continually improve and assess the manufacturing process within the weld department, continually reviewing drawing and standards. Key responsibilities will include:

* Responsible for creating Bill of Materials (MBOM's)
* Creating weld documentation such as weld maps and drawings
* Complete work analysis and labour studies (Kaizen)
* Working of layout of workstations and storage areas
* Working on design and acquisitions of jigs and other fixtures
* Continual evaluations of tooling
* Updating processes and documentation on IT Systems
* Create lesson plans for Production Team
* Promote best and safe practice
* Support audits
* Make methods and quality improvements

Qualifications:
Degree, HNC or HND (engineering)

Functional Knowledge:
* Experience in an Engineering Manufacturing environment ideally Welding / fabrication
* Good HSE knowledge
* Keen eye for detail
* Strong communication skills
* Proficient in computerised business tools (SAP and MS Office such as Excel and Word)
