Portfolio Payroll are currently working with an organisation in the Middlesbrough Area who are currently recruiting for a Payroll Assistant. They are looking for someone who has strong experience as a Payroll Administrator or similar with a good understanding of legislation and process.
This is a busy payroll department with a high volume payroll across multiple business entities.
Key Objectives
- To process all monthly payroll information including starters, leavers, amendments
- Salary sacrifice schemes and payments and deductions
- Process,monitor and check the accuracy of the monthly payroll ensuring that any errors are rectified efficiently
- Post the monthly payroll to the accounting ledger and perform a reconciliation of the actual monthly payroll
- SMP, SSP, OMP
- End of Year Certificate process
- LGPS return
- Queries relating to pensions auto enrolment administration
- BACS
Essential Requirements
- Experience In Payroll administration
- Manipulation of data - excel
- Excellent communicator as you will be answering queries
- Organised and strong attention to detail
- Up to date legislation knowledge
- Deliver payroll, pensions and benefits
- Good general systems knowledge
