The CompanyAre you a strategic thinker with a passion for procurement and supplier management? Our client is looking to appoint a commercially astute Procurement Category Manager to manage sourcing and supplier relationship management of various indirect and outsourced categories of spend across the UK.This is a great opportunity to make a real impact in a fast-paced, project-driven environment, supporting cross-functional teams and driving value across a diverse range of services including services, maintenance and facilities management. The Category Manager will be employed by our client upon a 12 month fixed term contract and will be based mainly on site.The OpportunityThe Procurement Category Manager will be responsible for managing specific categories of spend and will:
  • Develop and implement strategies for indirect spend 
  • Manage a network of suppliers and service providers, multi- sourcing where required
  • Lead negotiations, conduct performance reviews and ensure SLA/KPI compliance
  • Drive savings through strategic sourcing and supplier consolidation
  • Business partner with internal stakeholder teams to deliver appropriate procurement solutions
  • Promote ethical procurement and environmentally responsible sourcing
  • Conduct market reviews to stay ahead of future trends and regulatory changes
About YouThe successful Procurement Category Manager will have/be:
  • Proven experience in category/tender and contract management of indirect goods and services - fleet and subcontract supply/services would be advantageous
  • Strong negotiation, analytical, and supplier relationship management skills
  • Strengths in building relationships with/managing stakeholders
  • Assertive self starter
  • Available to start in September '25 for a 12mth period
