Hays HR is supporting a new client located in the Middlesbrough region for a HR Business Partner to join their start-up site, and to be part of this global organisation's journey, working closely with the Senior HR Manager located in the UK. This role would be suitable for an HR professional operating in an HR Advisor or Senior HR Advisor role looking to develop further and gain exposure. The role is for 12 months (with the possibility of going permanent) and will require you on site. Your new roleYou will work closely with the UK HR team and support a wide range of HR activities; workforce planning, onboarding management and compensation benefits, policies & procedures and bridging the culture gap.

Responsibilities include:

  • Develop workforce strategy in collaboration with UK HR, PMO, and Procurement teams.
  • Coordinate with European and UK Delivery & Service teams to create the UK workforce plan.
  • Set up accounts for new employees/contractors
  • Draft offer letters and contracts
  • Ensure right to work and compliance checks are adhered to
  • Support with onboarding and creating training materials
  • Update market insights and compensation benchmarks for Delivery & Service roles
  • Liaise with HQ to align compensation strategies and policies
  • Ensure HR policies comply with legislation
  • Implement HR processes and standards in collaboration with European and global teams
  • Support culture promotion programs and bridge cultural gaps

What you'll need to succeed

  • CIPD qualified or Bachelor's degree in Business or HR
  • Experience working in a complex matrix / fast-paced organisation
  • Experience in a similar role previously
  • OD experience
  • Up-to-date Employment Law knowledge
