Depot Assistant –

OVERALL, PURPOSE OF ROLE:

To control the receipt, storage, and issue of the company’s equipment in a state that is credible to the Company.

Assist in keeping the depot in a working order, through the use of mechanical handling equipment and inventory management.

KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Day to day safer operation of the base/ site and ensuring the safety of all those working and visiting therein.

• Ensure Compliance with Health and Safety regulations in accordance with Company Policy.

• Ensure schedules and deadlines are adhered to.

• Ensure the correct PPE is worn at all times.

• Communicate and implement change as directed.

• Ensure all goods and deliveries are handled accurately.

• Carry out quality control checks of delivered equipment and equipment leaving the depot to ensure goods are up to standard.

• Collate goods for dispatch and ensure they are prepared correctly.

• Maintain inventory accuracy through daily monitoring, stocktaking, and audits.

• Demonstrating high standards of work practices and safety conscious behavior.

• Support Freight Coordinator when required to ensure all task are completed in a timely manner and all set KPI’s are adhered to.

• Forklift truck movements across the depot, to assist in everyday operations such as project assistance, housekeeping, and vessel mobilisations.

• To ensure that the base/site facility is maintained in a clean and tidy manner, with all equipment securely and logically stored.

• All items subject to Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH) regulations are handled and stored in a safe and secure manner.

• Accept elements of flexibility in duties and responsibilities meeting the changing needs and demands of the business. Including working weekends, shifts (day & nights) and working remotely at vessel locations including abroad.

• Assisting at different sites / locations to the control of assets, supporting vessels and projects.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

Minimum Qualifications:

• QCF Level 2 Warehouse Operations

• Forklift Operators Certificate – NPORS B1, B2 and B3

• IPAF Mobile Vertical (3a), Mobile Boom (3b)

• Novice certification in Overhead Crane operation

Minimum Experience:

• Promoting high standards of customer experience

• Operating in a controlled assets environment

• Knowledge on basic use of IT systems, such as Microsoft Office

• Experience with transportation and logistics
